ALOK KASHYAP

Hello! Let me introduce myself. I am Alok Kashyap, a tech professional with a diverse career as an IT leader in the United States, Canada, and India. Those who know me well often say, “Automobiles, Technology, and a passion for Entrepreneurship are the three things that drive Alok Kashyap!”

My name & Roots

I hail from one of the most vibrant and diverse countries in the world, yes! I am an Indian. My roots in India is connected with Mithila (the maternal place of Sita the wife of Rama) in the state of Bihar, also known as the land of Ashoka, and Buddha, and home to the world’s oldest university Nalanda University. My First Name “Alok” means light/brilliance/ vision and my last name “Kashyap” denotes my Gotra which means that I am the descendent of Rishi Kashyap (a hermit).

Career: The journey of perseverance and accomplishments

Had a humble beginning but my dreams were always big, a child with aspirations knew very well that to achieve success knowledge and self-confidence are a must, and being the Alok Kashyap I am today started way back. After completing my schooling in India my aspirations to use tech for the betterment of humanity took me to the United States for further studies, where I completed my Bachelor in Computer Engineering and Master in Information Technology Project Management. It was March of 2015 when I started paving my career with my first job at Grainger as a Project Manager. My journey from Project Manager to Scrum Master and Currently as a Program Manager at United Airlines not only aced me in my profession but also provided me the opportunity to work with multiple reputed companies such as CVS Health, Foot Locker, and TransAmerica.

Yatiken: A testament to my Entrepreneurial Aspirations

Something whose name is a combination of my parents’ names can’t be just a business, it is an acknowledgment of the love, care, and efforts my parents put in and the bonafide upbringing they gave to me. The inception of Yatiken happened in 2014 as a tech and consulting firm, the growth of Yatiken and its expansion with offices in The United States, Canada, and India and clients from multiple countries is something I worked for and take pride in.

My life beyond Boardrooms and business meetings

Only work and no adventure will make Alok Kashyap bored, I am a firm believer in living life to the fullest with magnificence. I seek my adventure in automobiles and the Roar of my Maserati and Ferrari gives me the adrenaline rush and the registration plate with the name Alok makes me feel fortunate. My garage in India also has an Audi A6 that I use for commuting while I happen to be in India. My routine accommodates an hour or two for exercise and I spend my leisure and weekend on long drives and taking care of my Wheels.

My life’s journey so far can be summarized as a testament to the power of education and perseverance that can make someone with humble roots in India a successful professional in the United States, more over the journey has just begun, coming times have a lot to offer, some dreams came true and some will be a reality soon!
